CAPTION: SignHealth Uganda often uses its volunteers to put on short dramas at events in order to heighten awareness and challenge the stigmas attached to hearing impairment. In this scene, a boy is performing manual labour in the fields. This is a common occurrence among hearing impaired children, whose parents are embarrassed by them and force them to do hard work instead of sending them to school.
