CAPTION: Chung says that he’s very much enjoying the benefits that higher yields are bringing. Previously, he had to buy rice for his household for three to five months of the year. After applying the new techniques he’s learned, his productivity has almost doubled and he is now self-sufficient the whole year through. Since the start of the project in 2012, more than 150 households have directly or indirectly benefited from agricultural knowledge transfer, and many of them are now experiencing higher yields at harvest time.
