CAPTION: “The biggest benefit is the knowledge I’ve learned and can now apply in real life”, reports Hue. “I’m also more confident about sharing what I know with other people, and in giving voice to my own opinion. More than this, I’ve been able to improve my position within my family. For example, when I make a suggestion about how to look after the pigs, the rest of the family trusts my opinion more than ever before and allows me to follow through on my idea”. Hue goes on to speak of how she also feels empowered to voice her opinion in the wider community. Indeed, since participating in training sponsored by We Effect, she’s become a more active member in the Women’s Association and the community as a whole.
