CAPTION: Encouraging and facilitating disabled people's participation in local governance is a very important part of the Chamkol project, something that Shashikumar - who is blind in one eye - is taking the lead in. Today, he’s come to meet the Development Officer at his local gram panchayat (village assembly) to talk about the fact that his self-help group (SHG) doesn’t have a place where it can meet regularly.
